SMS Communications Policy

Last updated: June 1, 2026

Overview

healthpass1 provides a secure platform that lets you control, manage, and share your health information. We use SMS (text message) communications only for security, authentication, and critical account events.

This policy explains when we send SMS messages, what triggers them, and your rights.

Communication Channels

healthpass1 uses SMS and email to support secure access and account integrity.

SMS is used for time-sensitive, event-driven messages such as authentication and security alerts. Email may serve as a secondary channel for account notices, confirmations, or support.

When We Send SMS

By providing your phone number and opting in, you consent to receive SMS messages triggered by your activity in the healthpass1 app.

We may send SMS messages for:

  • Account login and multi-factor authentication (one-time passcodes)

  • Identity verification

  • Account security alerts, such as suspicious activity or credential changes

  • Confirmation to you when you share a record or when a record you shared is accessed

  • Critical account or service notifications

We send SMS only to you, the account holder. When you share health information with a doctor or friend, that message is sent from your own device, not from healthpass1.

We do not send marketing or promotional SMS messages.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies and depends on your activity in the app. We send messages only when required for security or service functionality.

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. healthpass1 is not responsible for carrier charges.

Consent (Opt-In)

We send SMS messages only after you give explicit consent. Consent is collected when you provide your phone number and check an unchecked consent box during registration or account verification.

SMS consent is not required to use healthpass1. You can use the app without opting in to SMS.

Opt-Out

You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You may receive one final confirmation. After that, you will not receive further SMS messages unless you re-enroll.

Help and Support

For help with SMS messages:

  • Reply HELP to any message

Privacy and Data Use

We use phone numbers only for authentication, security, and service notifications.

No mobile information, including your phone number and SMS opt-in consent, will be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell phone numbers or SMS consent data. Your phone number may be processed by our SMS delivery provider solely to send the messages you request, under confidentiality obligations.

Your health information stays under your control and is shared only with your authorization or as required by law.
